Desire for our Generation

For a fact, I see today’s Christianity as a deviation from what our ancient fathers practiced and professed. The more I study about our ancient fathers of Christianity and how they walked with the Lord, the more I lose interest in what our pulpits profess today. Ancient fathers like Thomas Kempis, Bro. Lawrence, George Fox, John Calvin and William Law experienced great fellowship with our Lord and exerted so much authority and power of the Holy Spirit. These people focused on the interior life, salvation, holiness, meditation, prayer and communion with the Lord. In our days, the focus has been on prosperity and how we can use faith to achieve whatever we want. Our idea of heaven has diminished and we are more into making ourselves happy and satisfying our egos. These ancient fathers studied, practiced and professed to be unknown for the glorification of Christ. We are more concerned about outward appearance and worldly achievements. We are in a hurry to pray, read scriptures so we can express our ‘knowledge’ of God while we know little of Him. Richard Foster states emphatically that in our contemporary society, our adversary majors in three things: noise, hurry and crowds. If he can keep us in “muchness” and “manyness” he will rest satisfied. Their main focus was on Christ and constant fellowship with the lord. They gave less time to the material things of the world and the devil because they were men and women who have surrendered their lives to Christ and from within them full of Christ for His purpose. In our time, there is constant appeal and fight to achieve something and fight against the ‘devil’ and his evil cohorts while within us, the greatest enemy of self has not been dealt with. Our churches are filled with unconverted and half converted people who proclaim to be Christians. We are constantly praying against the activities of the devil and how to make our lives better in this world but what do we see, less of God’s power because people who profess to know God are only honoring Him with their lips.  These ancient fathers, gave their whole life to Christ and dedicated themselves to the study of scriptures, prayer and communion with the Lord not to go and preach or satisfy their ego but to draw closer to Christ. We see in our times, the rush to read as many scriptures as possible not because we want to be filled with them but to satisfy our egos and boast about how much we have read and not how much we have been converted. May we go back to the old paths of our fathers, dedicate our lives to Christ, shun the material world, seek Christ and everything about Him. The so called ‘Christian’ jams or praise full of noise to satisfy our worldly desires, revivals that do not change anything, so called powerful word that has not converted a single fly must give way to true conversion, desire to know Christ and Him ONLY, the desire to seek His wisdom and knowledge not be seen but to remain unknown. We as a generation cry unto you oh God, help us to seek you and journey on the old path as our ancient fathers did. Maranatha!

Deeper Life

God’s word encourages us to launch into the deep because shallow walk with Him does not allow the believer to experience the fullness he/she has been called to experience. It does not give the believer the ability to impact his generation that God has intended. Richard Foster in his book, “celebration of discipline”, stated that the doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary problem for our generation. The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people. Are you growing deeper in the Lord? In His word and fellowship? This is a call to deeper life for deeper impact to our generation. Launch into the deep!!!.

Allow Yourself to Grow: A Cry to the Young Generation

The foundation of society and our generation is the family. A strong family system yields a strong nation and a stronger church. Without the family the church will struggle in its quests to change mankind. That is why God places high premium on the relationship between the family and Church. The attack of the enemy on the family and relationships is an attack on the Church. Young Christian friend, the enemy is destroying lives at tender ages through ungodly relationships and friendships. You, as a young man or woman must allow yourself to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually etc. The rush into relationships has led many into ungodly relationships and sexual activities which is rubbing many young people from been fully prepared for marriage and family life. At quite tender ages, many young people have experiences so many heart breaks, emotional tortures and breakdowns because they rush and found themselves in wrong relationships which they thought will give them the satisfaction they needed. Satisfaction is only in Christ Jesus!. This has robbed many marriages of goodness because partners did not allow themselves to grow. Many are battling their past and the lack of time to grow. This, the enemy is using to cause so much confusion in marriages and churches. Young man and woman, surrender to Jesus and allow Him to mold you into the man and woman He wants you to be. Flee from this deception and embrace Jesus. Ask the Lord to free you from your past and use His blood to cleanse and make you anew. With God all things are possible. May the Lord strengthen our generation to seek Him so we can become the men and women He wants us to be. Blessed be Jesus!

Have We Lowered The Standard?

If Serving Tables during the days of the Apostles required Men with Honest Report, Full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom, What should be the requirement today for Ministers of God? Elders? Teachers? Group Leaders? Worship Leaders? Have we lowered the standard in our time? is that the reason why there is so little of God's power in our midst? We need to rise and strengthen what remains. O God help us to go back to the old path. To seek you in prayer and truth

Do Not Rush to be Known, Go through the Mill

The rush to stardom and to be seen is taking many young believers into spiritual quagmire. It has become a norm and a must that so far as I can do something, I must be given the chance to do it. Anyone who stands on my way is an anti-Christ. The moment a Christian experiences and exercises one form of spiritual gift or the other then they start demanding a stage or pulpit to sing, preach or even lead prayer. No one wants to wait, no one wants to go through the mill to be refined and prepared for the Masters use. No one wonder there is so much vices in our church today. Many young Christians and believers are committing serious blunders and bringing the name of Christ into disrepute because they could not wait and go through the mill. Many have stopped their churches because they are not been given the stage or pulpit to use their gift. There are many pulpits not only in the church but at the market places, local transports or even open air at dawn. I spent a lot of time preaching in public transport and open air (dawn) to carry the message of Christ across. Do not quit your church because there is no stage or pulpit for you but with patience, prayer and preparation your light will shine and no one can stop it. Apostle Paul spent fourteen years in Arabia when he had an encounter with our Lord. How long are you willing to wait to be prepared by the Lord? Thomas Kempis states that the greatest desire of the believer is to crave to be unknown and considered as nothing. Are u willing to be humbled to be unknown and considered as nothing? Christ is our Example…

The Gospel

The Gospel we received was not a gospel of eating and drinking nor was it for our happiness. The Apostles never preached for people to recite a few words to be Christians. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is not about receiving Christ and being the same. The core message of our Gospel is about REPENTANCE, embracing CHRIST and Walking CONTINUALLY in His steps. We find in our churches today many people who call themselves Christians but are living just like the world. God cannot be mocked and judgement will start from the Church. Are you saved? Are you still living your old life while you call yourself a Christian? Being born into a Christian home does not make you a Christian neither been given a Christian name will make you one. Repent! And accept the Father’s gift of Christ and walk continually in His word. Jesus is Coming Soon!

Christ is Coming for a Church without a Spot or Wrinkle

Jesus is coming soon and He is coming for a Church without a spot or wrinkle. The message of Holiness and Purity has become rare in the church and in the life of Christians. We need to remember that God’s standard for Holiness and Purity has not changed and it will never change. The advent of technology and social media have made it even worse in our days. Glorified pornography, filthy pictures, ungodly music have now become part of many Christians because they walk with it daily and sleep with them on their phones and tablets. Will you stand for Holiness? Will you stand for Purity? The Lord is calling His church to return to Holiness and Purity. Am coming for a bride who is Holy, Pure and not a foolish virgin. Be ye separate amongst them and I will receive you. In a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but of wood and clay but anyone will purge himself from these he will be a vessel of honor. Purge Yourself!

Faking of the Presence of God

I visit churches and attend programs and only see good lightening, good sound and good 'singers' but little of God. Only pretense that the presence of God is present. God has no hand in it. They are man made strategies to glorify their egos and acquire wealth. There is so much promise and marketing of God's power in these programmes. I only see emotional stirings that last only a day or during the programme and many go back to their old ways and problems still persist. What happend?..theoldpaths

Jesus is Coming Soon!

The Issue of the rapture did not hit me so hard until I had a vision about the Church. The Lord showed me the church, and on the day of the rapture only 5% of the church made it to heaven. Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready? Your church, denomination, position in the church, money, level of education etc do not matter. What matters is your faith and believe in Jesus. He is coming for a church without a spot or wrinkle. Repent and continue walking on the path of Holiness. Maranatha!....backtotheoldpath

The Danger of Routine

I read this piece and feared for my self and Church. Meditate on these words by A. W. Tozer: People in our country can do just about whatever they please and the government pays no attention. We can hold prayer meetings all night if we want, and the government will not bother us or question us. There is no secret police breathing down our backs watching our every move. We live in free land and ought to thank God for that. the treacherous enemy facing the church of Jesus Christ today is the dictatorship of the routine, when the routine becomes 'lord' in the life of the church and believer. Programs are organized and the prevailing conditions are accepted as normal. Anyone can predict next Sunday's service and what will happen. This seem to be the mostly deadly threat in the church today. When we come to the place where everything can be predicted and nobody expects anything unusual from God, we are rut. The routine dictates, and we can tell not only what will happen next Sunday, but what will occur next month and if things dont improve, what will take place next year. Then we have reached a place where what has been determines what is, and what is determines what will be. Let this prayer for your life and church, that, Oh! Lord! touch me and visit my church and let your anointing and power of your Holy Spirit continue to flow in me and in the church.

Where are the men in our society?

Am not talking about men who snap pictures with their kids at malls and post them on social media, am not talking about men who spend their whole day and night in the office and don't remember they have a wife and children at home. Am not talking about men who spent their Sundays drinking beer while their children and wives are in church praying. Am not talking about men who spend all their time eating and drinking with friends while their wife and kids are lonely at home. I AM talking about men who cry and pray for their children, who protects their family from the enemy, who supports the wife emotionally, physically, spiritually etc. I am talking about men who prioritizes God's word in the life of their family. Men who will not sleep until their children are straightened. Men who love God and work hard to provide for their family. What kind of man are you? What kind man are you building yourself into? If we do not rise as men and be the head and spiritual leaders of our homes, we will be the devils and rapists of our children. Arise and be the man God has called you to be.

Seasonal or Crash Spirituality

Do you only pray and study the Word when you have a preaching appointment? Do you only Seek God's face when you have an exam, appointment, interview? Do you only take God serious when you have problems and challenges? Our Christian life is a daily affair and must be taken as such. The demands of our modern day society such as education, marriage, work, careers etc takes so much away from us. But in the midst of these things our love for the Father must be proven. The life of Jesus is the exact way we as Christians must model our lives. He sought the father daily and constantly. Our crash programmes, prayers and fastings would not help us in knowing our God deeply. The Lord is asking, when will my love have time for me? is it only when he or she needs me? Without this daily affair and fellowship with the Lord, our fight against sin and the enemy will be laborious. Let this be your prayer, that "Oh Lord, Fill me with your Holy Spirit, to enable me to seek you daily. Empower me to overcome every pressures of the flesh to have a holy communion with you". Hallelujah!!

The Other Side of Faith

Faith in our time has been greatly expressed and propagated as the ability to experience the supernatural to our benefit. When men and women experience great wonders, miracles, financial doors and breakthroughs they seem to state that their faith in the Lord have brought them these breakthroughs which has given them joy in the Lord. But there is another aspect of faith that believers must know and understand. Hebrews 11:35 makes us understand that others were tortured, some wondered in sheep skins and goat skins, destitute, some had trials of mocking and scourging, some were stone and sawn into two. Others slept in caves and dens yet they did not give up. In all these, their faith did not stagger because of their believe and hope in their Savior Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is not always about getting things done to make yourself happy, but also faith is standing firm in times of adversity, failure, disappointments and challenges. These men were mentioned in faith's hall of fame not because of 'great' things they have done but because they suffered for His sake and stood in their love for Christ. Do you lose faith in the Lord in times of failure or disappointments? Love the Lord, Stand Firm in Adversity and Praise Jehovah.....

Man Made Teachings and Principles

We find in our day so many man made teachings, principles, steps and wisdom when only repentance and faith in Christ Jesus was enough to the dead to rise by the laying on of hands by the Apostles. There is so little of God's power in our midst. Plenty of man made teachings and so called keys and principles but little of God's power. Let us go back to the basics: Jesus, Repentance, Holiness, Prayer etc....theoldpaths

What Am I Seeing? Deception!

What is happening now? Now you can do any job and preach Christ? You can act movies to project lust, fornication, violence and then come and preach Christ? Are we now creating our own gospel? What happened to the Command that despise self and follow Me? How can a soldier meddle in civilian affairs? Can we act and do the way the World does and still claim we preach Christ? 'Miracles', 'Deliverance' are not testaments of following the way of Christ. Working miracles or preaching the gospel does not mean your life is pleasing to God. The bible says, the Lord gave them spiritual drink and food but He was not pleased with them and they died in the wilderness. Are you trying to save other people when you are not saved? I can hear my Lord saying on the last day, you worked miracles, wonders but get away from me because I do not know you. Deception...backtotheoldpath

Morning Devotion Christians

The Bereans has so much time for the word and made sure they searched the scriptures to see if what they had received from the Apostles was true. What do we see in our days? Morning Devotion Christians, who only read short daily devotionals to fulfill 'righteousness' that they are been led by God for the day. Many Christians record of bible study is their morning devotions. No wonder many of us are been deceived because we do not know the God we worship. The secret to walking in our true calling is walking in the knowledge of God. We can only know this and walk in this power if we study His WORD and know Him better. How much of God do you know? We cannot know everything about God, because the day we will know all about Him, He will cease to be God. When was the last time you spent time searching the scriptures? When was the last time you put your television off to seek the Lord through His WORD? When will you put that mobile phone off and seek Elohim's face? God is calling you. Seek me while I may be found of you. A time is coming when one may not be able to do that...backtotheoldpath....

Ungodly Relationships

A wave of new life has crept into the church unaware, which has gone beyond the word 'dating'. There is so much unspeakable sexual immorality even in the church. Many young Christians at certain ages as low as twelve years are now craving for partners for relationships. This generation find its self in difficult situation in an era where the family system is breaking down. Many young people are seeking comfort, help and happiness which is not achieved in these relationship. Our churches are now filled with many young people who are heart broken and hurt from ungodly relationships. Abortion has been on a rise even in the church. These sexual activities and ungodly relationships are robbing many young Christians joy in the Lord and purity before their maker. Relationship at a young age has no biblical foundation and it is a LIE from the pit of hell. There is no where in the scriptures which encourage young people to pair into relationships. The only word practice in scripture is courtship which was for the purpose of marriage and not just pairing for pairing sake. The bible says flee sexual immorality and flee also youthful lust. There is some kind of lust in the youthful age which cannot be quenched by prayer, fasting or anointing oil. Only the word FLEE.....Run to Jesus, cut this ungodly ties and cry for holiness and purity. That is the church Christ is coming for; a church without a spot or wrinkle.

Worldly Music Creeping into the Church

I see the kind of music of the world creeping in unaware into the Church. Music has become a major aspect of worship service instead of God's Word. So much focus on sound and how good people will feel not how people must know God and His judgement. We are replicating the worldly kind of music and rhythm into the church that will make us feel good in the name of modernity. If we are truly converted nothing in this world will entice us or make us crave for them. Because we want to satisfy our worldly desires in 'sanctified' ways, we are gradually filling the church with worldly kind of music and rhythm. The Church MUST influence the world and not the world influencing the church. Seek true conversion and total turn from the things of the world. The earnest crave of anything in the world into the church is killing the spirituality of the bride. Arise and Seek Cry for the Church.
